I will stamp all over 'legitimate boxer' Jake Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer is set to fight Jake Paul in an eight-round match which will be shown live on Netflix.

British boxer Anthony Joshua declared he will "overwhelm entirely" the American and "defeat" his opponent as the pair came face-to-face to publicize next month's bout.

Ex two-time world title holder Joshua battles YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, on paper, a mammoth uneven pairing - at Miami venue on December 19th.

Boxer's Mindset

"I plan to break his face and damage his physique. I'm here to prove I'm the better fighter," the British boxer, 35 years old, declared.

"I'll stamp all over him. That's the boxer's mindset.

"I will seriously aim to injure him. That's what I want to do."

Civil Interaction

In spite of these statements, a composed Joshua and social media star Paul - normally recognized for his theatrics - exchanged pleasantries and maintained decorum with each other.

Paul instead criticized ex Joshua's rival Francis Ngannou and called him "a joke" after Ngannou turned down a bout proposal.

Targeting Fury

Anthony Joshua, at the same time, criticized UK opponent Tyson Fury - and declined a large bet 'The Gypsy King' states he will put on a Paul victory.

"Jake Paul is superior to Tyson Fury - he's present here," Joshua said.

"I respect him for that."

Legitimate Fighter

Despite stating he plans to hurt Jake Paul, Anthony Joshua chose not to comment unfavorably about his rival's fighting skills.

"Jake Paul is a credible opponent," he said.

Paul's Background

Jake Paul - who first rose to fame on the television network - has primarily boxed mixed martial artists or past-their-prime fighters since turning professional.

He lost to Briton Tommy Fury in 2023.

Commercial Attraction

However, the relative newcomer continues to be one of the sport's biggest commercial attractions, consistently making massive financial rewards.

Prediction and Belief

The 28-year-old forecast a stoppage in rounds four or five and claimed he would derail the long-awaited Joshua–Fury fight, which is reportedly being planned for two years from now.

"It's going to be myself against Tyson Fury next year," Jake Paul declared.

Size Disparity

As Joshua and Paul engaged in the traditional face-off, with their height and weight contrast evident, it drove home just how unlikely this whole event is - and how remarkable it is that the fight is truly proceeding.
